1 · Who and what

lapcost.com is a free track day cost calculator operated by drivenerve, an independent studio established in the European Union. Contact: hello@drivenerve.com. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the site. Nothing here requires an account, a payment or any personal data.

2 · Estimates, not advice

Everything lapcost produces is a planning estimate built from numbers you enter and typical reference values. Lap times are typical track-day pace, not records or promises. Costs, consumable life, fuel burn and lap counts vary with driver, machine, weather, traffic and luck. The output is not financial, mechanical or safety advice, and no decision, from a tyre purchase to a season budget, should rest on it alone.

Motorsport and track driving are inherently dangerous and can result in injury, death and destroyed machinery. lapcost estimates what a day may cost; it says nothing about whether you, your vehicle or your budget are ready for one. That judgement, and the risk, are yours.

3 · Circuits and third parties

Circuit names are used to identify venues only. lapcost is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any circuit, organiser or series named on this site. All trademarks belong to their owners. Where the site links to external websites, those sites have their own terms and policies and we are not responsible for them. When partner or affiliate links exist in the future, they will be clearly labelled where they appear.

4 · Fair use of a free tool

• Personal and professional use of the calculator, share links and cost cards is free. Cost cards you generate from your own numbers are yours to publish.
• Do not scrape at abusive volume, attack, overload, frame deceptively, or misrepresent the site or its outputs as your own product.
• The lapcost and drivenerve names, marks and site design are protected; the underlying idea of adding up what a hobby costs is, happily, free.

5 · No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows: no guarantee of accuracy, availability, fitness for purpose or uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, drivenerve is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the site or its estimates.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, or affects statutory consumer rights in your country of residence, including under EU consumer law, the UK Consumer Rights Act, the Australian Consumer Law and New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act. For a free informational tool, those rights are simply unlikely to be engaged.

6 · Privacy

Your calculator data stays on your device. The full picture, including exactly what our host logs and what we plan to add later, is in the privacy policy.

7 · Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of the European Union member state in which the operator is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Courts of that member state have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to your local courts. We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address with its date above. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the new version.
